Osteopathy on toddlers: the case of Thiago only 10 days old

Today I share the case of baby Thiago who was born with a crooked nose because of the pressure made by the arm on his face.

As soon as he was born and saw the situation, the parents immediately became apprehensive about what the consequences might have been, not only cosmetically, but especially physiologically.

In fact, Thiago before he came to me was only attaching to one breast as he was breathing poorly, having difficulty swallowing and snoring.

Although the parents had been familiar with osteopathy for some time, and primarily used the treatments, they were unaware that it could intervene on children and especially infants.
Thus the midwife, from the outset, recommended that they go to an osteopath certain that it could be intervened without incurring future possible other remedies and, above all, allowing the little one to regain proper function of the nose.

Coming to my practice, I treated the maxillary bone but especially the frontal and nasal bones with respect to the frontal bone with mostly intraosseous techniques.

I recommended taking photos (shown below) even before starting the treatment so as to monitor the change. After 12 hours the parents began to see progress, almost in disbelief in their eyes: the little nose was “magically” returning to its original position. And this result was even more evident 24 hours after the treatment.
For Thiago this meant that he stopped snoring, swallowed with ease, and most importantly, had the ability to attach to both breasts without difficulty and naturally.

The photos below give an even better idea of what is told in words.

“I entrusted in the hands of Massimo my son after 10 days after his birth and in a few sessions he solved my problem.
Massimo is a professional, careful thorough and always available, personally I can no longer do without him.”

Beyond that session, I saw the baby 2-3 more times over the course of a month for a quick checkup to make sure everything was going the right way; and one of those sessions-flash is to help him with colic.
Today Thiago is one year old and has a nose that is, by all accounts, perfect.

The midwife wanted to support the muchi flow work with daily nasal washes based on breast milk.

Aside from the important achievement, it is interesting to become aware of how much education there is still to be done especially toward mothers who are often unaware of the help osteopathy can give to their babies.

I was struck by the disbelief found by friends and relatives of Thiago’s parents when they recounted the episode and its resolution.

And speaking of breath, which, as we know, is vital and can bring tremendous benefits, I remind you of my book “The Secret of Breathing”
